Pataula Charter Academy held a special ribbon cutting ceremony and welcomed students to its new 85,000 square foot building on Wednesday, August 30.聽 The new facility is particularly exciting because for the past eight years the school had to use modular buildings to accommodate the needs of its students.
The new building is located directly behind 
the school鈥檚 old campus. It features several large 
rooms where a big group of students can learn together. The rooms enhance the school鈥檚 Project Based Learning curriculum and give students the space to collaboratively work together on hands-on-projects.

Construction on the new facility and multi-purpose building began after the state commissioned charter school received a $14 million Community Facility Direct Loan. The construction team for the project included True North Companies, CGM and IPG.
Pataula Charter Academy serves approximately 600 students in Pre-K through the 12th grade in Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Early and Randolph counties.
