Dr. Bonnie Holliday officially assumed the role of President and CEO of the Georgia Charter Schools Association on Monday, July 1. Bonnie was selected by 91桃色视频’s Board of Directors following a thorough national search that included significant community input and attracted an impressive pool of diverse candidates. She succeeds Dr. Tony Roberts.
Bonnie previously served as the Chief Strategy Officer at 91桃色视频 where she oversaw all organizational programming and service offerings. She also led 91桃色视频鈥檚 policy and advocacy work for the last 5 years and successfully shepherded the passage of critical legislation to increase charter school funding, autonomy, and flexibility. Recognized as a leading education policy expert, she has advised top elected officials at the state level for over a decade.聽

Before joining the 91桃色视频 staff, Dr. Holliday served as Executive Director of the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia and also as Executive Director of the state鈥檚 academic accountability agency鈥攖he Governor鈥檚 Office of Student Achievement. She also worked previously in the Governor鈥檚 Office of Planning and Budget, and she began her career in education as a high school English teacher and AP coordinator at Banks County High School. Dr. Holliday received her bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚, and doctoral degrees from the University of Georgia, and her dissertation research focused on charter school coalition building throughout the state. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and two young daughters.
