Alani Laura-Jean Andrews is Valedictorian of Drew Charter School鈥檚 class of 2021. Alani聽has been involved in numerous extracurricular activities, such as Student Government Association, National Beta Club, Youth Physicians Initiative, Math Mentors, Debate team, varsity girls track, and National Honor Society.
A quote that has influenced her life is from former Buckhead Church Youth Pastor Jamey Dickens: 鈥淭he greatest forgiveness comes when we surrender.鈥� This quote resonates with her because, as a perfectionist, she holds herself to an extremely high standard and at times feels let down. However, in those moments of disappointment, she makes an effort to believe in herself and forget the past.
Alani plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall.聽
