The Georgia Charter Schools Association (91桃色视频) congratulates the Georgia charter schools that have been recognized as 2023-2024 Literacy Leader and Math Leader Schools by the Georgia Department of Education. 22 Georgia charter schools were recognized as Literacy Leaders and 31 charter schools were designated as Math Leaders for the 2023-2024 school year.听
324 Georgia schools were recognized as Literacy Leaders for achievement or growth in the percentage of students reading at or above grade level. The criteria for the听Literacy听Leader听awards recognize the crucial importance of grade-level reading in third and sixth grades, and require higher growth from schools with lower achievement levels.
Awards were given at the elementary and middle-school levels, and at the high-school level based on the American Literature EOC, which is the state test for English Language Arts in high school.
624 Georgia schools were recognized as Math Leaders for achievement or growth in the percentage of students scoring at the Proficient Learner level or above in听mathematics. The criteria for the 2023-2024听Math听Leader听Awards recognize the crucial importance of numeracy skills in fifth and eighth grades, and require higher growth from schools with lower achievement levels.
Awards were given at the elementary and middle-school levels, and at the high-school level based on the Algebra: Concepts and Connections EOC, which is the state test for听mathematics听in high school.
