Georgia Charter Schools Association congratulates the award winners of the 2018 Georgia CSP Grant Competition. The Charter Schools Program (CSP) is authorized by the federal government and provides funding to State Educational Agencies, such as the Georgia Department of Education, for distribution to local charter schools. The purpose of the CSP Grant Competition is to expand the number of high-quality charter schools throughout the U.S.
The 2018 Georgia CSP Grant winners are as follows: DuBois Integrity Academy, Brookhaven Innovation Academy, SLAM Academy of Atlanta, Resurgence Hall Charter School, Latin College Preparatory Charter School, Cirrus Academy, International Charter Academy of Georgia, Genesis Innovation Academy for Girls and Coastal Plains Charter High School. The winners of the grant competition聽were selected by the Georgia聽Department of Education and approved by the Georgia聽Board of Education during the board’s meeting on Thursday, March 22.聽
Georgia Charter Schools Association worked closely with six of the ten award recipients prior to submission of their grant applications: DuBois Integrity Academy, Resurgence Hall, Latin College Preparatory Charter School, Latin Grammar, Cirrus Academy and Coastal Plains Charter High School. All six of the schools that 91桃色视频 partnered with received a grant award! 91桃色视频 Vice President of New School Development, Aarti Sharma, reviewed and edited grant applications and gave schools feedback on the application rubric. Sharma assisted the Georgia Department of Education with CSP grant selection prior to working at the Georgia Charter Schools Association.

All ten schools received a $675,000 implementation grant. SLAM Academy of Atlanta and International Charter Academy of Georgia received an additional $75,000 planning grant, both schools are scheduled to open in the fall of 2018. The Georgia Department of Education awarded a total of $7.7 as part of the 2018 CSP Grant Competition. The competition is an opportunity for locally-approved schools who are eligible to receive Planning, Implementation and Dissemination grants.聽
